Missouri Skies and Landscapes (Two)

Bro. Moore told us of this chemical trails in the sky that you always see everyday here in Joplin. And so the next morning, we looked up and there they are! They were supposed to be chemical trails but not sure for what is that. There are rumors that it has to do with the weather control and some even say it throws toxic to make you sick and therefore has to do with population control. Kinda weird and hard to believe. But whatever they are, i thought of taking some shots and i'm quite happy of what it turned out. Hope you too...

Missouri Skies and Landscapes (One)

Here are some of the first batch of photos taken in Carterville and Joplin. It's a nice little town with a touch of history. Most of the houses are Victorian style and me and Steve was offered this 120 years old(1880) house for 45,000. But of course it needs major job but as i stepped into the house, chills come down my spine as if i travelled in time and actually saw ancient people living there. But it's a nice quiet town with lots of stories to tell....I have more to come...enjoy!

Biggest Full Moon This Year

Friday night, as me and my husband Steve are heading home and we get to have the glimpse of this big beautiful moon. And according to NASA, this is the biggest for this year. I remember when I was little then watching the movie E.T., there's that famous scene where ET and the boy riding the bicycle against the huge harvest moon. And since then, I always wish to see that big of a moon. And my husband says "there goes your moon honey!". Although it's not as big as in the movie, I am just simply amazed by the wonders of God's creations. So I took a couple of shots and even made Nikki, our neighbor to pose like as if she's holding the moon. Though it didn't turn out the way I wanted it to be. Steve says there's more to come, when the harvest moon comes when it's bigger than this and it's red....kinda creepy. But I'm looking forward to that...

Venus, Moon And Mars....

We were heading for our book study this evening when i get a glance at the sky and witness how beautiful the moon is and under it are the two planets, Venus and Mars. The winds are strong and it would sometimes cover the three luminaries but it's a pretty exceptional sight because there were no other stars that surround them. And I have come to think how our grand Creator has the ultimate intelligence that no man can even match. Even though some won't believe that they are created and would even accept that they came from apes! Me and my husband can't help but appreciate and fortunate we are that we have come to know the true God, Jehovah. And the privilege of having a personal relationship with the Omnipotent is one great gift. It's just sad that most people in the world don't realized these qualities of the Supreme Being in the creations He made. But rather sooooo quick to complain and blame God instead for their miserable lives which they have the accountability for in the first place. Sometimes me and Steve would thought maybe God has purpose for those other planets in the universe. Specially when the time comes that His Kingdom will rule under Christ and that there will be no death anymore....who knows maybe someday other planets such as Venus and Mars and even Pluto will be inhabited soon! And we can even visit, take a vacation or even live there! Who knows? Nothing is impossible with Jehovah. As the prophet Isaiah puts it, " Raise your eyes high up and see. Who has created these things? It is the One who is bringing forth the army of them even by number, all of whom he calls even by name. Due to the abundance of dynamic energy, he also being vigorous in power, not one of them is missing."(Isa.40:26)
Don't we feel the same way? I do....

A Call From A Bestfriend

I got a call from my bestfriend back in Manila. But act she's now based in Stockholm,Sweden. It was actually an expected call. It was a good feeling when you were able to talk with old friends. Kinda like i comment on Jackie's blog about cherishing your friends....i missed that kind of feeling. We talked for over two hours i guess. Catching up, girl-talks that we used to do when we were still younger and would spend the night with their house or our house, those kind of things. Though we have to face the fact that the situation now is much different and you cannot simply do the things you used to do when you're single, but still, you miss those girl-talks once in a while. Erli and I grew up together. We were friends since we were toddlers i think haha...but i'm pretty sure we're not in school yet then. We have been through a lot. Attended same school, play outside, we have common friends and enemies (hehe). Well, those were when were still kids. How we back up each other. I remember when computer and video games are not popular yet, kids are physically active because we used to play outside til it starts to rain or starts to get dark. Sometimes even if it's dark we'd still play hide and seek and our parents would not worry. Now, kids are more into computers, solitary confinement, no social activities, thus harder for them to behave and relate to other people. Kids today are so rampantly disrepectful. What a shame though. I guess that's what the computer generation produced. A generation of arrogant, unappreciative deliquents. Oh well....but there are still few who are God-fearing. Thank goodness for that. I wonder what kind of generation will be next?

Nice To Know You

I just thought of giving this blog post a title after the song Nice To Know You because I remember it was written after the singer/composer experienced a "numb" arm for over a week. It may sound like a love song but really it is about his "numb arm". And since I have been suffering from this pain(though it's not numb) on my right thumb for a week now...i thought of writing about this. It's so painful that I can't even bend my thumb. I can't do the things I wanted to do, including writing and drawing. Good thing I can still type. Everything went slow with me for the past days. I must have sprained it from playing tennis a couple of weeks ago. Because I have been feeling this, way back. Must have pulled a tendon or muscle. I even thought, could it be arthritis? Hahahahha....it's a sign of old age sad to say...Oh well, i hope the ibuprofen and ice could make me feel better and hopefully i could write and draw again.Aaaarrrggghhhh!!!! The song goes, "feels like a waking limb, pins and needles, nice to know you....goodbye, nice to know you!" Yeah i wish to say goodbye to this pain soon!

TV shows back home....

I just visited the official website of two of my favorite TV shows in the Philippines. Titled Eat Bulaga and Bubble Gang....which i have been missing for quite a while now. Good thing there's YouTube and their website to somehow i could get updated and "laugh" and have a taste of Filipino humor. Eat Bulaga has been around for ages and I was only nine when they started and it's amazing how they are still around. Simply because people loved their show as much as i do. Then There's Bubble Gang which been around for over 10 years. It's a gag show kinda like MadTV and Saturday Night Live! Good thing there's YouTube and their website....

Miownlil'way (four)

The Fourth...

" When a man commits a mistake, he often looks for a symphatizer, instead of a solution."

Come on,aren't we all like that? It's normal to look for someone who'd listen and understand. The hard part is accepting the truth, the reality. That's when making the solution to the problem.Or to the committed sin.People tend to look for someone like himself or even worse to justify what he did.

" Not every challenge is worth pursuing."

I have or should i say, you have always heard the phrase "I want challenge". It is one way of a man to prove to himself how worthy it is to get through one big obstacle and what a relief it is to overcome that. But in this particular thing, i want to emphasize on RELATIONSHIP. We often hear from men that they wanted to be challenged in getting the girl of their dreams and vise versa. They love the feel of getting hurt/rejected many times and then win in the end. But as i observed this to many failed marriages...THIS WAS REALLY THE CAUSE! Though not in general...but oh believe me,those who fail in the marriage/relationship department...are the ones who's got mates who are VERY HARD TO PLEASE AND VERY HARD TO GET. Sounds familiar? You'd hear men who's got extra marital affairs..."oh my wife is very hard to please...oh my wife wont do this for me..she doesnt like to please me in bed, blah, blah, blah!" You'd hear women..."oh i did everything for him. he doesn't seem to be satisfied.blah, blah, blah!" Come to think of it,why do we want to challenge ourselves if we can have things easy? Why do we punish ourselves in getting it the hard way when there's an easy access? Why do we insist on someone who doesn't give a damn for us? Are we made as "masochists"? One who finds pleasure in pain? If one person is so very hard to please and very hard to get..rest assured...he/she will be one tough person to deal with..think twice before your marriage will get in trouble. It will cost you a lifetime.

"Being arrogant is a very effective way to alienate people, bruise powerful egos and put a big black mark on your reputation. It's okay to feel proud of yourself, but not when it's at the expense of others. Be humble and nurture harmony."- anonymous

I absolutely agree with this. Being arrogant is somewhat like a defense mechanism. It serves as a protection(mistakenly) by someone who never wanted to get hurt and belittle by others. It's like bullying. It's not good, because we will not win friendship and harmony by being arrogant.ong>

The third sequel of our Palawan adventure. Here are the photos of the port of Palawan called Puerto Princesa, which is the capital city of Palawan...

Palawan Adventure 2

Here's the second part of the Palawan adventure...enjoy!

Palawan Adventure

Here's another set of photos taken during our Palawan adventure in the Philippines. Here you'll see some nice landscapes and the infamous "underground river" where it was nominated to be included in the new "seven wonders of the world". I'm not sure though if it won or not.
